The Adrenalin Jungle was proud to play host to a delegation of young people from Russia who were attending a Robin Hood Camp.

28 students and 6 staff took part in our Jungle Combo which obviously included Archery in the heart of Sherwood Forest.

All communications had been via email up until the group arrived with us on Tuesday the 9^th of August and we would like to congratulate the organisers of the event, especially Xenia Bejenar for the fantastic co ordination and communication.

The group arrived on time to the minute, all those attending had completed all paper work prior to arrival, teams had been formed with an even spread of ages ability’s and English / Russian speaker so all could be kept up to speed with what was happening.

Whilst the above may not sound that impressive, to us compared to some youth groups traveling to us locally, it’s amazing!

As the Rugby Union play offs loom, Nottingham Rugby were looking for a way to reward and motivate the team. Some of you may have seen how the England team prepared for the France game with some blindfold 4×4, so if it was good enough for the England Team it was good enough for our boys.

Craig, Jacko and some of the boys came to The Adrenalin Jungle for some team building to include challenges aimed at focusing on communication, eye - hand coordination and strategic planning.

The guys tried their hand at Archery; Blindfold 4×4 Driving, our Jungle Challenge, Laser Tag and our Woodland Quad Trek.

Teams were sorted with the backs taking on the forwards, with the backs taking the glory.

Well having thrown down the gauntlet during the world cup staff event in the summer, the under 30′s challenged the over 30′s and Jungle Staff went head to head at the end of last year.

The 3 events decided on were Archery, The Assault Course and Football – not a jungle event but the challenge was leveled during the world cup so it seemed appropriate!

There were 11 of the under 30′s with 9 over 30′s (for the record a lot of the over 30′s bottled it BT, Steve, Hutch you know who you are!!!) and it was a very close matched contest until the events started then we wooooooped they young pups butts.

A clean sweep of 3 from 3 was the final outcome with the finest moment being when the Galloping Gallop scored the 1st of 3 goals whilst smoking a cigarette – it had quality written all over it.

It just goes to show you that experience or exuberance wins every time.

If you have a group at work who keep on bragging but never put their muscle where there mouths are why not challenge them to a Jungle Combo.
