Unreal 2 wheel – Segway comes to Nottingham

    Tuesday, September 16th, 2008

The Jungle in Nottingham has just taken delivery of the Segway X2, the latest state of the art lazy mans mode of transport.

The Segway X2 is specifically designed for off-road riding and so will be a perfect additional to the Jungle’s offroad portfolio. The Adrenalin Jungle Team are busy perfecting the art of falling off the segways with Don Logan, the boss, leading the way.

The aim is to be up and running, delivering Segway events direct to the public by the latter part of 2008 – early 2009. The events will take 3 formats: a segway slalom course race, a Segway off road ride and a Segway woodland trek.

As soon as the formats and pricing structures have been finalised you bloggers will be the first to find out, so keep an eye on the website for further Segway in Nottingham news.

    The Jungles first Summer Camp

    Thursday, September 4th, 2008

On Sunday 31st August the Adrenalin and Corporate Jungle ran its first Summer Camp and Scavenger Hunt and thankfully the weather was balmy and dry.

A team of 21 staff from Hampsons Van Hire took part in a selection of activities including Archery, Blindfold 4 x 4, Construction Challenges and the infamous Assault Course.

The day culminated in the teams having to carry out a scavenger hunt around our 150 acre site to collect all their necessary camping equipment including tent, groundsheets, poles tent pegs and mallets. Against the clock the teams had to then compete in the final challenge which was to erect their huge tents which were to be their homes for the evening. A barbecue, camp fire singalong and selection of giant games rounded off the evening.

If you’re interested in running a Summer Camp for your staff or large group then please see more info at our Summer Camp page on our Corporate Site.

The Jungle goes to Question of Sport Filming

    Thursday, September 4th, 2008

Question of Sport StudioFollowing on from The Adrenalin Jungles facilitation of Question Of Sports Mystery Guest, where the Cricketer Ryan Sidebottom drove round our 4 x 4 track, we were given tickets to go along to see the fliming of one of the shows.

We were lucky enough to get front row seats and were also very priviledged to be in the presence of 4 British Gold Medal Olympians.

The contestents included Nottingham based canoeist Tim Brabants who won a Gold and a Bronze medal. 22 year old Gold medalist in the Boxing James Degale, Cyclings James Degale\'s Gold Medaldefending gold medalist Bradley Wiggins and Sailings ’3 blondes in a boat’ Sarah Webb.

Phil was his usual jokey self and Matt his usual competitive self (although alot smaller than we all thought!) and of course the wonderful Sue Barker did a sterling job holding it all together.

A fab night was had by all and this show is due to air in a couple of weeks – so look out for it.

If you fancy checking out The Adrenalin Jungles own version of The Olympics check out our Sports Days on our Corporate Site.
